A safe space to heal, grow and find balace

I am Yana Bilyk, a Psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker in the province of Alberta.
I work with adults and young adults navigating trauma, stress, anxiety, grief, identity challenges, depression, and the process of adapting to new cultures and life transitions.
I was born and raised in Ukraine and came to Canada nearly 20 years ago, first as an exchange student searching for new experiences and a sense of belonging. Living between cultures has shaped my understanding of change, loss, and the courage it takes to rebuild, redefine identity, and create meaning in unfamiliar chapters of life.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Calgary and integrate evidence-based approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma and PTSD, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Internal Family Systems–informed tools (IFS), and Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies, tailoring my work to support each client’s healing, growth, and resilience. My practice is shaped by my experience supporting individuals with trauma, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Outside of my private practice, I work with Alberta Health Services and Recovery Alberta as a psychotherapist in a community mental health and addictions clinic.
I provide therapy in both English and Ukrainian, offering a space where clients can communicate in the language that feels most natural and authentic to them.
"Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health"
